Michael Long, Director of Strategy: With a decade of experience in science and technology marketing, Michael has crafted brand strategies for companies such as Invitrogen, Agilent, IBM Life Sciences, Quantum Dot and Applied Biosystems. His role within The Linus Group is to ensure that client business objectives are matched with a winning strategy that will resonate with the target audience. He is also the father of twins, and placed 16,487th in his class in the LA marathon. Go Michael.
Laura Dantes, Director of Client Services: With over 20 years’ experience in the field of marketing communications, Laura has managed the accounts of blue-chip companies such as Hewlett Packard, QUALCOMM, Philips and National Semiconductor. In her role as Director of Client Services at The Linus Group, she oversees the account function of the agency, including managing client relationships and engagements, planning and executing communications activities, and marshalling agency resources to accomplish key client campaign goals. Laura also has extensive experience in managing business operations. When she’s not directing Client Services at The Linus Group, she’s managing the art of balance and learning with her young children–devouring books, walking on the beach, and doing yoga (not all at the same time).
Aumarie Benipayo, Account Supervisor: Aumarie knows her clients, inside and out. She looks after the daily running of these accounts, and ensures that all projects are both on time and on budget. She has worked in many categories including tech, telecom, automotive, CPG and entertainment, and clearly brings a well-rounded experience to the agency. Her background is in media communications and she’s done a lot of work developing strategies for communicating with customers from all walks of life. Aumarie is a world traveler and a devoted food critic blogger.
Alina Campos, Account Supervisor: Alina manages the day-to-day operations of a client’s account, and ensures that all projects run on time and on budget. Past clients include: SBC Communications, Adobe, Match.com and Saturn. Alina worked on all of these accounts at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, in the role of media planner. Her media background has given her a more in-depth understanding of the Account area and, in her own words, enabled her "to be a better Account person". She considers learning to speak Spanish as an adult one of her greatest accomplishments.
Clarissa Cayetano, Marketing Specialist: With extensive experience in client services and project management, Clarissa brings her knowledge, expertise–and deft touch–to the company, to help ensure overall client satisfaction. Clarissa provides support to the Client Services group and also handles various business development activities for the Linus Group, managing the company’s bimonthly newsletter and other outbound marketing activities. Taking black and white photos and teaching children how to sing are some of her favorite things to do.
Prisca Ekkens, Art Director: Prisca is a walking demonstration that strategy and creativity are not mutually exclusive, consistently bringing creative and strategically relevant executions to the Linus Group–and we love her for it. She has worked on: Wyeth Ayerst, Biogen, Procter & Gamble, General Motors, Visa, Time Warner, Disney, and Cingular. While Prisca loves the West Coast lifestyle, she still feels like a New Yorker living in California.
Allison Dahl, Senior Designer: Allison oversees the production, traffic, and studio functions of the agency, and ensures the impeccable production values of every Linus Group job. She has designed for Fern Tiger Associates, Gumas Advertising, The Body Shop, and Sumeria, Inc. She studied Fine Art (painting) and Psychology, and has sold several original works to the University of California, and Ann Taylor Stores, Corp. Allison’s creativity flows into her love for music as well, playing the flute, saxophone, bass guitar, and upright bass, just to name a few.
We have to be passionate if we are going to change the way marketing is done in the life science industry. This means that we must enjoy ourselves at work and constantly expand our frame-of-reference. This is achieved through a wide spectrum of ways, anywhere from attending creative workshops to holding group cooking classes.
We also find passion in donating a portion of our profits every year to causes that address growing concerns surrounding environmental, health and public service issues.
