The Future of Digital Diagnostics, Health, and Longevity

At this year’s Techonomy, President Kristin Apple joined Ann Garnier (Founder & CEO of Lisa Health), Jim Dougherty (Co-Founder and Executive Chairman at Madaket), and Sumit Nagpal (Founder and CEO of Cherish) for a discussion on Digital Diagnostics: Paving the Way for the Future of Health and Longevity.

Part of the conversation focused on how our industry can better understand what this population might want, need and desire at the intersection of health and home, and the technologies they choose to adopt.

The panel also talked about how adults between the ages of 60-79 are comfortable using wearable devices to diagnose themselves, yet they’re not making decisions in a total silo — they’re looking for experts to help them make a decision about their diagnosis.

“What they want is a secondary opinion from a healthcare provider,” says Kristin. “So, this idea of ‘Triage Me’ and being able to enable older adults to make their own diagnosis, and actually giving them an HCP or nurse practitioner the ability to call or dial in is a big opportunity.”
